JENNIFER ANGIER, Foundations Outpatient | Atlanta, GA

A veteran of the mental health field with more than 22 years of clinical experience, Jennifer Angier is the executive director of Foundations Recovery Network Atlanta. She is a Level II National Certified Addictions Counselor, is Level I certified with the Georgia Addiction Counseling Association and is a Level II Georgia Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. A nationally recognized speaker on addiction treatment techniques, she regularly provides educational presentations for numerous healthcare and community organizations.

During her career in addiction treatment, Jennifer has worked in case management, crisis response and in private practice. Before accepting her current position, Jennifer served as program director of Talbott Recovery’s Assessment Stabilization Unit at Anchor Hospital in Atlanta. She was also a clinical outreach coordinator for a young adult program.

Jennifer obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Originally from the Midwest, Jennifer has called Georgia home for more than 30 years.

KATHLEEN BIGSBY, The Canyon

Kathleen Bigsby has specialized in the treatment of addiction and mental health concerns for more than 18 years. She holds a Doctorate in Human Development and Master’s degrees in Clinical Social Work and Family Systems, and she is also a credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor.

Kathleen spent seven years teaching at Syracuse University, and she is also an experienced administrator, having run comprehensive treatment services in both New York and California. As co-chair of the New York State Provider Association Committee for Women and Family Issues, she brought her innovative and progressive strategies for treating families to a statewide level.

As a clinician, Kathleen utilizes the best clinical practices in working with those who wish to actualize a life of healing and wellness. She is commitment to assisting others to find his or her personal sense of well being through a journey that reawakens the dormant spirit with hope and renewed commitment to the authentic self. She believes it is in living with intention and mindfulness that our lives can be transformed.

Kathleen attributes the uniqueness of The Canyon program to the combination of aesthetic beauty, spiritual qualities, the fresh food plan and comprehensive integrated treatment services designed to meet the multi-faceted recovery needs for individuals with co-occurring issues. The Canyon's diversity of traditional and nontraditional modalities of care provides clients the opportunity for mind/body/spiritual healing and clarity of focus on what is most meaningful.

PAIGE BOTTOM, La Paloma

Paige Bottom joined Foundations Recovery Network as the CEO for La Paloma Treatment Center in Memphis, but she has been committed to the field of addiction and mental illness for more than 18 years, beginning with her work with adolescents diagnosed with both psychiatric and chemical dependency problems.

Paige's path began in direct clinical work in Virginia after completing her undergraduate work in psychology, but it soon branched into prevention and education as well through work as an Employee Assistance Professional for several Fortune 500 companies. Throughout this time, Paige remained dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people who had been affected by addiction and mental illness. As a result, she returned to graduate school with a dual focus on Counseling Psychology and Business Administration.

It was during this time that Paige moved out of direct care and into program development, operations and administration, Driven by a desire to have a greater impact on how care is delivered and to reach a larger portion of an underserved population, her ultimate goal was to provide services that result in a powerful, life-changing experience and greater rates of success.

After receiving her Master’s in Business Administration, Paige worked extensively in Wilmington, NC and Santa Cruz, Calif., creating and nurturing programs to be more responsive, efficient and effective.

As La Paloma's CEO, Paige brings a gentle, compassionate strength to her commitment and continues to stand for excellence in clinical care and customer service.

KRISTA GILBERT, Michael's House

After gathering experience as a Therapist, Program Coordinator and Director of Outpatient Services throughout her career, Krista Gilbert joined Michael's House as CEO.

Krista's familiarity with issues of grief and loss and her focus on trauma and eating disorders has given her ample knowledge of the unique needs and necessities of those suffering from co-occurring disorders.

She equates working with addiction and recovery and working with grief and loss as two of the pivotal moments in life that are ripe with potential for transformation. It was the integration of treatment for these issues with an approach that is client-centered and client-driven that brought Krista to Michael's House.
