Nancy Pugmire, LPC, CPCS
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Nancy Pugmire moved to Atlanta, Georgia in high school and has called it home ever since. As the director of outpatient services at Talbott Recovery at Dunwoody, she seeks to help individuals create a life worth living, released from the burden of addiction. Previously, she was the facility’s clinical director and strove to achieve the same goal.
Pugmire earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Mercer University. She began working for Foundations Atlanta-Roswell, Talbott’s sister facility, in 2014 as a family therapist, transitioning to the role of primary therapist in 2016. She also has extensive experience in caring for patients with eating disorders.
Passionate about supporting both patients and their loved ones, Pugmire enjoys helping the whole family discover a life in recovery. Her favorite part about the job is watching individuals see their lives begin to make sense again and find healthy solutions to meet their needs.
