Second Annual Concert Features a Rock Star-Studded Lineup at the Famous Fonda Theatre on September 16, 2017

Los Angeles, CA | September 13, 2017 – After a sold out inaugural event, The Canyon at Peace Park is honored to once again be the presenting sponsor of this year’s concert, headlined by Kings of Chaos and featuring the Rock to Recovery band as well as surprise celebrity guests. The concert will benefit Rock to Recovery’s nonprofit entity which donates its services to many different deserving programs such as the US Department of Defense’s Wounded Warriors program, state-funded programs and rehab centers meeting the needs of low-income individuals.

“The amazing responses came in for weeks after our first Rock to Recovery event, helping us to further realize just how powerful having a sober event of this caliber is in helping to unite the community, destigmatizing recovery of all sorts, and carry that message of hope on such a bright and grand scale,” said Wesley Geer, Founder of Rock to Recovery and former member of bands Korn and HED P.E.

Founded in 2012, Rock to Recovery is a transformative program for those in treatment and recovery. Sessions are provided at The Canyon and surrounding Foundations Recovery Network outpatient programs in California. In each session, program participants form a band, write a song together and record their work, offering an uplifting therapeutic release to patients recovering from PTSD, alcoholism, drug addiction, depression, cancer treatments and more. The experience organically helps improve body/brain chemistry by stimulating the natural release of serotonin, dopamine, endorphins and oxytocin.

“We have the joys of witnessing our patients collaborating with the Rock to Recovery team and seeing the healing that comes from finding one’s voice through music,” said Kathleen Bigsby, Group Director of The Canyon. “We are once again honored to present the second annual Rock to Recovery event celebrating music and recovery.”

The concert will be held at the historic Fonda Theatre in Hollywood, with pre-concert events beginning at 6 pm. For more information, visit FondaTheatre.com.
