Barry Mannion, PsyD

CEO

Born in Queens, New York, and raised on Long Island, Barry Mannion took the helm at Michael’s House in March 2018. He holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from Ryokan College and a master’s degree in education (with a concentration in school counseling/school psychology) from California State Dominquez Hills. Mannion says he was drawn to Michael’s House by the opportunity to work with a great team and a program that has an excellent reputation.

Past experience includes roles as executive director, COO, vice president and therapist in both residential and outpatient settings. Mannion’s own recovery played a role in his decision to pursue a career in the treatment field in the first place. He always had an interest in helping people and was presented with the opportunity to work as a counselor at a residential treatment center when he was 10 years sober.
